ROLAND AVENUE RENOVATION

A mid-century modern house in North Roland Park had not been renovated in nearly 35 years. During this project, Elizabeth and the team at Greenleaf Construction focused on transforming the kitchen, family room, laundry room, and powder room.

The kitchen required brightening and modernization to create a better flow for cooking and entertaining. The space was completely gutted and reworked, featuring custom white oak cabinets that extend to the ceiling for a sleek, modern look. The new design includes an oversized island that offers ample seating and storage, a separate bar complete with a beverage refrigerator, and a cozy TV nook.

The custom backsplash was designed using a combination of matte and gloss zellige-style tiles, while the nook's backsplash features a calacatta marble mosaic arranged in a herringbone pattern. Walls were removed to open the kitchen to the lower level stairway, which is enhanced by a custom metal railing and stained oak cap and handrail designed by Revolve.

Additionally, the hardwood floors throughout the home were refinished. Revolve Design was engaged for further services, including selections for fabric, paint, carpet, and interior styling.
